Sea Base High Adventure Trip

Troop 188 will be going to one of the BSA's finest camps: Sea Base in the Florida Keys. The boys have been provided with a handout (pdf).
We are booked to take the Out Island Adventure on June 4-11, 2005 at Sea Base. The plans are still being formed, but we will likely travel by air the day before and after this adventure. We estimate the cost to be between $1000-$1200 per person attending. See eligibility requirements below.
We can take 12-16 (Total Boys & Adults) on this adventure.
IMPORTANT: Time is short. If you want to attend this adventure, you must provide a $100 deposit to Terry Martin by Friday 11/12/2004.

Eligibility for all participants (youth and adult)
1. Must be a registered Boy Scout, Varsity Scout, Venture Scout or Adult Leader.
2. Participants must be Fourteen (14) years old by September 1 of the year of
their
participation for all programs except SCUBA. SCUBA program participants must be
fourteen (14) years old by date of attendance. AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR SEA
BASE CANNOT BE RELAXED. PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST OR EXPECT
EXCEPTIONS! All youth participants are required to present proof of age
before participating in our programs. (Appropriate ID includes one of the
following: 1. school photo ID & copy of birth certificate, 2. passport, 3. valid
state
issued ID). Those individuals who do not meet the minimum age requirements
or do no present appropriate ID will be sent home, no exceptions. Prevent a
tragedy by adhering to the age policy and by bringing proper proof of age.
3. All participants must pass the BSA swim test within one year prior to arrival.
4. Must be in good health evidenced by a Sea Base Class III or Philmont Class
III
medical form filled out and signed by you doctor within the past 12 months.
5. No participant may weigh in excess of 300 pounds. Please refer to
height/weight
chart on Sea Base Class III Medical for recommended weight limits. Participants
weighing in excess of 300 pounds will be sent home at their own expense.
6. All crew members must know and use the Scout Oath and Law as their guide
to
appropriate behavior at the Sea Base.
