PLC

A PLC meeting was held Tuesday, Jan. 8th to make up for the December meeting. The scouts discussed ideas for forming new patrols before the next election of new patrol leaders on Feb. 5th. Also other considerations for the High Adventure Trip were discussed.

Archery Range at BDSR
It was moved and seconded that the troop contribute $100 to the Archery Range fund being constructed to honor Michael T. He was the college-aged son of longtime Scouting leader, Roberta T. He suffered a heart attack and died this fall. Parents will be given a flyer telling how they can also contribute to the fund.

Summer Camp
Week of July 7th -14th. The Blackfoot site has been reserved. February 1st is when the first payment of $50 is due. Scouts wishing to participate in the Mountain Man or 50-miler program also need to pay for that on the 1st of February. Mountain Man fee is $20 and the 50-miler fee is $10. March 15th, a second payment of $40 is due, and May 1st, the final payment of $50 is due.

High Adventure Trip
The trip to Padre Island is being debated now as to feasibility of having enough time to plan for it and raise the required money for airfare. It was suggested that the idea be postponed until next year so more preparations can be made farther in advance. The PLC will consider other suggestions that came up, a canoe trip on the Green River in Utah or a bike trip in the Moab area.

Venture Patrol
Discussion was held on the pros and cons of adding a venture patrol to the troop. This will be discussed at the PLC when they consider how they want to reconfigure the patrols.

Discipline Issues
A discussion was held concerning several discipline issues that Mr. Bastian will discuss with the scouts involved.

Next Committee Meeting
Wednesday, Jan. 30th, 7 pm at Terry M.'s house.
