Calendar:

September 10 - 12 - Family campout. Greg I. bring information sheets concerning Hermit Park. Each Scout will camp with his family.

September 10-12 - OA Fellowship weekend. Terry, Colin and Andy will attend.

October 1-3 - Fall Camporee - will be held at Bonner Peak (by Ted's Place). No ground or cooking fires are allowed. The theme is basically one of "having fun."

October 16-17 - Webelos campout - held for the 2nd year Webelos of Pack 188. Reservations need to be made for the Rotary Lodge at BDSR.

Old Business:

1. A check for camping items still needs to be given to Les B.'s troop.

2. Jim had completed the patrol box prototype before retiring from the troop. The committee members need to pick this up at his house. Greg I. will take over the project. Goal - to complete all boxes by Fall Camporee.

New Business:

1. Norm mentioned taking a leader trip to preview the camp at San Isabel. This is the Troop's site for Summer Camp 2000.

2. A Lake Powell trip is in the planning stages for Troop 188's High Adventure trip for 2000. A houseboat will be rented. 12 people maximum per boat are allowed. Terry estimated the costs for a 4 day trip as follows:

$1450.00 - boat rental
$ 200.00 - boat gas
$ 400.00 - groceries
$ 100.00 - extras (gas for travel, etc.)

Approximate cost per person - $300.00. High adventure trips are restricted to First Class Scouts 13 and over. The Troop will also require each boy to have their Swimming and Live Saving merit badges. There are 9 potential
candidates for this trip. Adults will have to have their Safety Afloat, Safe Swim and CPR certifications.

3. Fund raising - Greg will look into concession sales at Mile High.

The next committee meeting will be held at Linton on October 7 at 7:00 p.m.
