New Business:

1. In preparation of incoming scouts, 2 new stoves and 3 new lanterns were purchased. A check needs to be sent to Les B. A prototype patrol box will be built by leaders; the troop will need a total of 5. Each patrol (4) will have their own to hold stoves, lanterns, cooking equipment, etc. The committee determined that 6 new tents will be needed and will be purchased with incoming dues. The cost of each tent is approximately $89.95. It was decided that new scouts cannot participate in campouts until their registration dues are paid.

2. Order of the Arrow ordeal will be held on June 5 at CLP or June 12 at BDSR. There is also one scheduled for September.

3. New Assistant Scoutmasters need to take the Scoutmaster Fundamental Course before they can sign off scout handbooks.

4. The Committee decided that in anticipation of an upcoming District wide policy, Troop 188 will become fully uniformed. This means that full uniforms for Scout meetings and special occasions will be required. A full uniform is defined as an official Scout shirt, pants, belt, and neckerchief. March 30 was given as a deadline for current Scouts.

The next committee meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on April 25 at Linton Elementary and will include a new parent meeting.
